Having experienced other childcare centres, nothing compares to Poppies. You feel it the moment you walk in - the care, the connection, the trust. You simply know your child is being well looked after.

Poppies offers a beautiful balance of play-based learning, fun and structure. The teachers are incredibly warm, nurturing and genuinely invested in each child - it doesn’t feel like “care”, it feels like family. The outings and family events are thoughtfully planned and always so special.

The Transition to School Programme they offer is exceptional and not found elsewhere. I know my daughter will start school feeling confident, secure and excited to learn, and that means everything to us.

Choosing a childcare is such a deeply personal decision, and after a number of years at Poppies with both of our children, I can honestly say it has been one of the best choices we’ve ever made. We had a short break due to a house move and extended travel distance, but that time away only made me realise I would happily sit in traffic for an hour if it means knowing my child is truly happy, safe and loved. That peace of mind is priceless.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Rhiannon and the entire team at Poppies Kindergarten. My son Gary has had a truly wonderful three weeks of learning and growing with you.

Your warmth, kindness, and the joyful energy of the children made us feel so welcome and touched as a family. Gary has been incredibly happy here — he told us that kindergarten in New Zealand is much more relaxed than in China, and that it’s just “play, play, play” every day. Through this short but meaningful exchange experience, he has been exposed to different races and cultures, which has been such valuable exposure for his development.

We truly hope to have the opportunity to bring Gary back to Auckland for another exchange next year, and maybe by then he’ll be speaking beautiful English!

Absolutely thrilled with Poppies Kindergarten!

Our son attended Poppies for 8 months, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The team provided such incredible love, care, and nurturing in this warm, family-like environment – it truly felt like a second home for him. The small size of the centre meant he received personalised attention, and we saw amazing progress in his confidence, social skills, and overall development.

The beautiful indoor-outdoor flow, lovely playground with the castle and sandpit, and regular outings to nearby Park made every day exciting and enriching. The teachers are dedicated, passionate, and genuinely invested in each child's growth.

Highly recommend Poppies to any family in Remuera or surrounding areas – it's a wonderful foundation for early learning! Thank you to Rhiannon and the whole team for making our son's time there so special.
