We love Miniwhais!
Both of our girls have attended the Minis side, and our eldest is now in the Whais group. The centre offers a fantastic environment, with well-designed indoor spaces and expansive outdoor areas for the kids to explore and enjoy. There are always engaging, age-appropriate activities set up, and the bush school for the older children is such a special opportunity to learn and grow in nature.

We also really appreciate that meals are included—always healthy, filling, and delicious! The teachers are warm, attentive, and genuinely care about building meaningful relationships with the children.

It’s a wonderful facility, and we feel lucky to be part of the Miniwhais community. Miniwhais offers a wonderful early childhood education experience. Highly recommend!

Izzy was one of the first pupils though the Miniwhais doors and we were so excited for her. A brand new centre with a fantastic playground overlooking a spectacular backdrop, and all on our doorstep.

From Izzy’s first day she loved it and she always had wonderful stories to share of her days activities. Whether it be new songs, water play, movement, kitchen play, art, bush school or trips to Mangawhai Beach school, Izzy got across every aspect of learning and development.

When Izzy turned four we were so grateful that she would be part of Miniwhais School Readiness programme. As a result, Izzy has started school as a five year old with confidence, independence, self worth and a respect for others. We know this is a result of the dedication by the Miniwhais team to understand the importance of this big step in her development.

We are a busy working family and we have had to place a lot of trust in Miniwhais and we could not be more happy with how Izzy has flourished.

Tash and John and their staff are passionate, empathetic and approachable. And the connections that Izzy built with them is a testament to the care that she received everyday.

Kia ora,

I find Miniwhai's to be a tasteless and downright disrespectful "play" on words. Unlike pākehā place naming (This centre being a perfect example of this), ingoa māori are rooted in whakapapa and are a reflection of being in deep relation with that specific place. I hope you would consider a name change, especially considering your philosophy mentions embracing all cultures.
