The kaiako and all staff are incredibly caring and supportive, and it’s clear they genuinely love what they do. The centre has built a wonderful sense of community, with regular opportunities for parents to connect with both staff and other families. We also really value how culturally diverse the centre is. Different backgrounds are celebrated throughout the month, with activities that introduce the mokopuna to different languages, countries, and traditions in a really meaningful way. We receive very regular updates during the week about our child’s development and day-to-day activities, and it’s lovely to see photos and messages showing just how much he enjoys his time there. I would highly recommend Merryland to anyone in the area — just be sure to get in early, as the waitlist exists for a very good reason! ### null review (5/5) My family has had such a wonderful experience with Merryland Childcare Center, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The teachers are incredibly caring and genuinely passionate about what they do — you can see the warmth in every interaction. The manager and owner set such a positive tone, creating a nurturing environment where children truly thrive. One of the things that stands out most is the strong sense of community. The centre regularly creates opportunities for parents to connect, catch up, and build friendships, which makes you feel like part of a supportive family rather than just a service. Merryland also does a beautiful job celebrating all cultures, helping children appreciate diversity from a young age. They encourage learning different languages and expose the kids to a variety of traditions, which is so special to see. The vegetarian meals are thoughtfully prepared, healthy, and inclusive, and the team is always accommodating of individual needs. I also really value the daily updates — it’s so reassuring to see what the children are learning, how they’re interacting, and the little moments that make up their day. It gives real peace of mind knowing your child is not only well cared for but also growing in such a positive, enriching environment. The teachers are caring, attentive, and genuinely look after each child. Our baby adapted very well and always comes home happy. The environment is safe, clean, and you can really see the dedication and patience in everything they do. They always keep us updated about his activities, and every time we go to pick him up, he doesn’t want to leave 😄. We highly recommend it!
