We visited while I was pregnant and earmarked our place before my son was even born. The fact that each age group has its own house with seperate areas, not just a room, is amazing. The size of the outdoor space is second to none and my bulldozer of a toddler has thrived with all the open ended play and natural resources. His confidence and curiosity grow by the day and I cannot be more proud of the little man he is growing into. Kidiwise have a huge part to play in this as they help shape and guide him through these formative years. The team recognize and foster his interests including letting him sit in the bobcat with Bree when the playground in the nestling room was being renovated. The photo of him in the bobcat is one I will cherish forever. This is only one example of the many where the team have gone above and beyond with nurturing his interests. It is so hard to decide who to trust to look after your child but not once have I ever regretted entrusting kidiwise with my boy. We value outdoor and open ended activities with semi formal structure and kidiwise excel at these. Don't even get me started on the spa, turtle, chickens and pony 😅 Can I enrol here for myself to attend? Asking for a friend of course. ### null review (5/5) As parents of three young boys—aged 3 years, 22 months, and 7 months—who attend Kidiwise Childcare, we couldn't be happier with our choice. Each of our sons is in a different room (Owls, Moreporks, and Nestlings), tailored to their developmental stages, and each day they come home filled with stories of their adventures and new discoveries. Kidiwise is far more than a daycare; it's a thriving community where children have extensive space to run, play, and explore in a secure and stimulating environment. The array of activities provided is truly unique and goes far beyond the basics. Our boys particularly love the pony rides with Peachy the Pony, a highlight that brings them immense joy. Additionally, the bush and community walks foster a strong connection with nature and their local surroundings, while spa time offers them a moment to relax and rejuvenate—a rare find in childcare settings! The educational opportunities are equally impressive, with engaging science activities that pique their curiosity and encourage hands-on learning. The staff’s dedication to nurturing each child’s interests helps in fostering a lifelong love for learning in them. What sets Kidiwise apart is its warm and nurturing atmosphere. Every teacher seems genuinely invested in the children's well-being and development, ensuring that they not only learn but also thrive emotionally and socially. We truly believe there is no better childcare option in Tauranga. Choosing Kidiwise has been one of the best decisions for our family, providing our boys with a fun, educational, and loving second home. ### null review (5/5) So happy that we moved our son here and our only regret is that we didn't know about Kidiwise when we first moved to Tauranga. Our son is thriving in this outstanding daycare centre; there is so much for him to do in the huge outdoor spaces. We are a huge fan of the each room's curriculum time which provides structure & routine for our 4yo. Pony rides, spa pool, a dedicated science space and bush walk area, animals to care for...the list goes on. The teachers are amazing too & go the extra mile. We will be sad to leave this wonderful environment when it's tone for big school.
