I wouldn’t recommend this service for an in-home childcare experience. I’m not speaking for all educators who work for just four kids this is only my personal experience with one based in north end Oamaru, North Otago

While the environment was acceptable and the basic requirements were met, her service was very poorly organised. On multiple occasions, the educator had their own child home sick while still caring for other young children. Children were also sent home as “sick” when they clearly were not.
When concerns were raised about these issues, instead of working through them professionally, our contract was breached and my child was removed from care altogether.
Based on our experience, I would not choose this provider again.

Marlena Kennedy cared for my son for about 2 and a half years and she worked with him to ease him into school, teaching him so much that his first teacher is amazed. She provides a really beautiful, Montessori based learning environment where the kids get to go some seriously cool stuff! The combination of Marlena’s teaching principals combined with her nurturing nature provided the perfect learning space for my little guy. Just 4 Kids are great to work with and Suzy is very passionate about quality early childhood education. She provides a great deal of support to her team as well as the families of the children in her care. Can’t recommend enough.

My daughter has hypotonia cerebral palsy and the care she received from her teacher Marlena at just four kids was the BEST they way they made her so welcome and how much they cared about my daughter was amazing I would recommend them in a heart beat I loved how they done something new with the kids everyday like chipmunks play group drop in gym and much more my daughter received the best care and Marlena became family we loved being apart of her team and I highly recommend Marlena as a career for anyone’s child :)
