This is the second child we have brouight here and although we now live in Blockhouse Bay, we chose Childsplay Unlimited Lynfield. At the time of looking for a centre for infant, we visited a few centres in Blockhouse Bay but were very underwhelmed - it was either untidy, too chaotic, had a funny smell or the staff seemed a bit unhappy/stressed. So, because of this, we decided to visit Childsplay Lynfield and found the exact opposite of what we had seen at the other centres. I love the cleanliness of the centre, friendly teachers and there is no odd smell but instead, the smell of homemade cooking/baking. I really do love these things about Childsplay and this is what I remember when our 8 year old was here. Seeing the same teachers was also the next deciding factor to enrol our son.
I have loved the progress he has made in the baby room with Paru and the support of the other teachers. I am so amazed how he sits, listens and is able to control his behaviour. I dont know how Paru achieves this because he is a little bit different at home 🙂 we have noticed very good manners at home with lots of 'thank you's' and his communication/vocabulary is developing very well. The updates on Story Park are also very nice and its good seeing messages pop up of what he is doing from time to time. I appreciate the time with Paru and am very grateful that she is happy to talk with me to discuss our son and have casual chats. It adds to the centre being a warm and welcoming place for our family.
In total we have experienced 4 childcare centres with our older children and Childsplay Unlimited Lynfield is by far our favourite, the end of year Christmas celebration is also the best of the centres. We can see how much the children love being on stage and performing for their peers and family.
Thank you to Sashi and her work at the centre, and all the teachers/staff that work very hard to make the centre a warm and caring place for our son to grow in these important years of development.

Dear Shashi and Tina,

As Kriva ended her preschool journey yesterday and she starts school, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to both the teachers, Shashi & Tina, for everything you have done for her.

From the very first day, you welcomed Kriva with so much warmth, patience, and care. Because of your love and encouragement, she felt safe, confident, and happy coming to school each day. We have seen wonderful growth in her learning, communication, creativity, and social skills, and this is truly a reflection of your dedication and hard work.

Thank you for nurturing her curiosity, guiding her with kindness, and teaching her important values along with academics. The positive and joyful environment you created has made a lasting impact on Kriva, and these early memories will always stay with her.

We feel incredibly grateful to have had such caring and supportive teachers during this important stage of her life. Thank you for your commitment, passion, and for treating Kriva with so much love and respect.

With heartfelt thanks and appreciation, I will always remember this special time.

Kind Regards,
Kriva & family

My twins attended Childsplay for the last 17months or so, they graduated from preschool on Thurs 23rd Oct 2025. Sashi, Kristina and all the teachers and staff are just wonderful. They were very caring and helped my twins to gain confidence, be kind to others and prepared them well for their next step into primary, especially with my son who is hard of hearing (He wore hearing aids and never felt any different wearing them) and has speech difficulties (had an SLT Teacher assigned to him). They were very accommodating and encouraging and he progressed well with his learning with them. This gave me such relief and the way they were supportive shows how much they do care about the children that come through their school to help their development. I wish them all the very best for the future. Thank you again to Sashi and Kristina.
