I wanted to write my experience for a long time but finally I have some time to do so.
My colleague recommended me Apple’s and I am so thankful he did. Today, I am writing so mum like me can decide and have same gratitude later!
My daughter was so demanding because of her acid reflux and lactation, she would never leave the physical touch and wanted to be hold up right.
I was so nervous and having enxity before send her there or any daycare thinking how they will cop up with my daughter’s demands.
I have had a very challenging time during first year I would miss having family & friends around me, who could be reliever for me.
My daughter started going when I return to work, nearly at her 6months. She is one now and we both are a lot happier.
I truly appreciate that teacher here are so incredible who made my daughter daycare journey much easier.
Infact now she surprises us with her skills. My husband and I always talk that we could have not taught her this much.
Thank you Nikita, Mhnaz, Melody, Natasha, Tee and Lucy to be my relievers ❤️
I am grateful to you all 🙏

My son attended apples from 8 months old until 5.5 months old and I have nothing but good things to say about this place and the kaiako here.

They are all very caring and nurturing and have been great support for some learning issues we were having with our son. The owner is extremely responsive and knowledgeable and the kaiako feel like extended family for our son.

He has kaiko that were there when he started at 8 months old that are still there now he’s about to finish, so staff turnover is very low and that should tell you all you need to know.

Absolutely recommend to anyone in the area.

What should I say about Apples Childcare & Learning Centre in Onehunga?

Amazing people (ALL of them), nice and tidy environment, heaps of creative activities for the kids being busy without being overwhelmed, learning through experience, sense of belonging, caring for others, lovely, peaceful and harmonic energy around the centre, respect for themselves and the others.

Kids being happy and being able to express themselves while being supported. That means a lot! Kids are kids, kids cry, miss their parents, get tired, kids are learning to deal with their emotions... They cry for many reasons. Every single time my daughter cried there (and I've seen other kids as well), they are always supported, the teacher are always there for them, patiently, lovely, offering them a cuddle, a talk in a way they understand from that experience, from that feeling, they become strong, they are not alone.

I am not here to sell "oh, Apples is the best!", in fact IT IS! We love it! My daughter loves it and misses every teacher, friend, music, playtime, artwork, draw, learning, "splish splash", gratefulness time together, having food together, dancing in the rain, laughing, smiling, reading books, playing family characters, receiving us there and so much more.

She spent two years with Apples Whanau, starting on her birthday and finishing on her birthday. Sadly we needed to move as I changed my workplace. I also kept chasing the manager to keep going and open a primary school and so on, as I absolutely love the way they teach, care and support our kids, their methodology, their atmosphere itself, it was love first sight for my daughter and I.

They have the juniors room and preschoolers room, kids can see eachother from the gate, which is awesome, they feel comfortable when it is time for the transition, they can help their friends, play together, keep in touch and always build strong bonds.

One way or another, if you let yourself in, the parents at some point become more than just "have a good day" from drop off/pick up times, the kids have this magical way to connect all of us because they learn it there, they are encouraged too, they live the examples.

I could keep going and write all day about Apples, all nice words and feelings. So, give it a try, it is your best call, your daughters and sons will love it.

We highly recommend Apples!!!

Warm regards,
Patricia & Maya
